I'm coloring like crazy these past few days! I have TWO books that's due three days from now, yet half of the pages are not in yet. This is terrible.
I'm frustrated because I'm not as fast as I need to be right now! I have had three mugs in the last couple of hours of extra strong black coffee just so I won't fall asleep. This is not healthy.
I haven't been stressed out like this since working on my video thesis way back in college, when I didn't sleep for three days straight!
Caffeine, don't fail me now. |

It's Friday. There's no way the publisher can demand the books on Monday or Tuesday if half the pages aren't in yet. Talk to your editors to see what's going on. Ask: When should I expect the rest of the pages? Will pages be turned in over the weekend -- and if so, how will I get them? Can I get a new, more realistic deadline? Which book should I prioritize first? Editors LOVE it when colorists are proactive when they see a problem coming up. This isn't your fault, so just let them know that you'll do whatever you can, but everyone needs more realistic expectations.
Good luck! You'll be fine. Just drop your editors an email, they're there to help you as much as you are there to help them.
Hello Laura! Hope you're doing well.
